A nursing home for the elderly in Berlin is doing whatever it can to make its residents’ old age as comfortable as possible. There was a need for a temporary kitchen during the renovation of the nursing home. We delivered a production kitchen, dishwash unit, preparation kitchen, refrigeration and freezer units and two support units, including technique and equipment.
| NIEBO® thinks along with the client. In the adjacent area of a nursing home, it is obviously not desirable to start working with heavy-duty machinery in the early morning. Think about trucks used for the transport and a mobile crane to place the kitchen units. In order to limit the (noise) nuisance for the residents as much as possible, we prepared a customised time schedule, together with the client and our subcontractors. So is the way we work.
In this case, the environment was also contributing to additional custom work in the execution of the project. Due to a lack of space and the large amount of high vegetation at the site, it was impossible to reach our destination using our standard trucks. By loading the units onto a smaller truck in the street, we were able to safely reach the back of the building. We installed the container units within 4 days. The temporary kitchen was operational following instructions to the kitchen staff.
